When people hear “destination wedding in Los Cabos,” most think of a dreamy beach ceremony with the ocean as a beautiful backdrop. Yes, the beaches here are magical, but in addition to oceanfront weddings, Los Cabos also offers a wide range of other types of truly incredible locations for couples to say their I Dos. We’re excited to share details about a couple that went the contemporary route - away from the beach - and threw an enchanted wedding with a tropical touch at Acre Baja.
Our amazing couple, Elizabeth and Marco, worked closely with luxury destination wedding planner Bonnie Chase of Bliss Events to help them turn their modern wedding visions into reality. This sweet couple fell in love with the contemporary feel of Acre Baja and the beautiful venue’s endless possibilities to create a wedding setup that’s truly unique. From the lush ceremony space set against a tropical backdrop to the chic reception space in the mango orchard - it’s easy to see why so many couples pick this particular venue for their most special day.
For the ceremony, the couple’s guests were seated on rustic, dark chairs facing the altar space set against the lush, tropical greenery. Elizabeth and Marco said I Do beneath a simple yet elegant wooden structure adorned with two clusters of foliage and blooms in mauve, blush, and subtle burgundy hues.
The bride looked stunning in a white lace gown and long, delicate veil with her blonde hair trailing down her back. Her generous bouquet was a tropical dream featuring loosely tied pink ice protea, eucalyptus, and white roses. The groom and his groomsmen looked dapper wearing matching navy blue suits and brown shoes while the bridesmaids all wore blush, chiffon dresses paired with bouquets mirroring the bridal bouquet.
After the romantic ceremony, the couple treated their guests to a beautiful reception at the mango grove. Dark wooden chairs and tables were set up in the tiled outdoor space surrounded by stately trees. The tropical vibe from the ceremony carried over into the reception decor and Flowers and Events provided the floral accents that were seen in the bar decor, seating chart, wedding cake, and last but certainly not least - the gorgeous centerpieces.
