Styled Shoot with Hints of Something Blue at Casa Dorada

One of our favorite venues in Los Cabos is Casa Dorada. Flowers and Events recently had the opportunity to team up with a group of lovely vendors for a styled shoot with hints of something blue at this beautiful resort with incredible views. Keep reading for more details about the design we came up with for this fun-filled and gorgeous shoot!

Casa Dorada is one of the best five-star resorts in Los Cabos. Located just a five minute walk from downtown Cabo San Lucas and situated at the oceanfront with access to one of Cabo’s few swimmable beaches, this beautiful resort is a true gem for special celebrations.

Our team from Flowers and Events joined forces with Cabo Rental Decor, Daniel Jireh Photographer, and The Wedding Factory Mexico to create a magical styled shoot from start to finish. For the overall aesthetics the team chose modern pieces with a color scheme that complemented the natural beauty of the venue and its surroundings. Various tones of blue captured the hues of the ocean and sky, while touches of gold reflected the warmth of the sun during the daytime and added a glamorous shimmer to the event space at night.

For the ceremony the team created a modern vibe with white chairs facing the altar space and the majestic ocean which served as a jaw dropping backdrop. Rather than having a traditional ceremony structure we placed whimsical floral arrangements on each side of the altar space and a group of beautiful, gold lanterns of varying sizes. The floral arrangements, featuring lush foliage and gorgeous all-white blooms, added a subtle yet elegant touch to the sophisticated ceremony setup.

Adjacent to the ceremony area and in a secluded space surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea, we created an intimate lounge vignette for guests to take in the view and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze. The floral arrangements in romantic, pastel hues paired with accent pillows in pale blue added a cozy touch to the contemporary furnishings in white and gold.

The intimate reception space featured one long table and white wooden chairs. To maximize the stunning ocean view, we set the table with low centerpieces featuring a mix of florals in various shades of blue, pink, and white paired with lush greenery atop a cobalt blue table runner. The same gorgeous shade of blue was incorporated throughout the tablescape decor. Brass flatware and candle holders added a glamorous touch to the romantic design.
